چکیده

Objective: The human condyle is capable of remodelling over time as numerous factors such age, sex, occlusal force, malocclusion, and skeletal relationship influence this remodelling. This change in shape can lead to the symptoms degenerative joint disease. aim study was investigate different morphologies age groups at Faculty Dentistry, …. University, …., using orthopantomography. Material Method: A total 681 panoramic radiographs obtained for study. group consists 399 female 282 male individuals aged between 15-55 years. Articular eminence glenoid fossa regions mandibular traced. morphology classified into six types oval, birdbeak, diamond, flat, crooked finger bifid. Intergroup differences were evaluated with Chi-square McNemar tests. (p<0.05) Result: 1362 right left condyles patients examined. most common among condylar -regardless gender- oval morphology, followed by diamond-shaped, finger, Conclusion: As a result examination shapes ages on radiographs, process temporomandibular observed. found are interpreted be related cumulative increase amount functional loading which exposed increasing age.
